Dr. Eric Hu was born in Taiwan and moved to Los Angeles where he finished high school as class valedictorian and graduated with honors at Harvard College in biomedical engineering. Dr. Hu attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed five years of general surgery residency at the Saint Vincents Catholic Medical Centers in New York city before becoming fully trained as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
His research interests in biomechanics as well as wound healing and flap survival while at Harvard, Cedars-Sinai, and at the University of Mississippi Medical Center have enabled him to apply advanced resconstructive principles to all of his procedures to improve outcome. His special interests in cosmetic surgery includes breast aesthetics, individualized body contouring to restore and enhance shape and proportions with application of advanced liposculpture and fat grafting techniques, Minimial Access Cranio-Suspension(MACS) face, neck, and brow lifts, as well as various other modern procedures in aesthetic plastic surgery.
